Personal profile

Prof. Xiao mainly focuses on testing and modeling of granular soils. He has served for geotechnical engineering in China for15 years . He now works at Chongqing University. He got the scientific research support from four National Funds (430 thousand U.S. dollars), published about 100 papers (H-Index=25) in Geotechnical Journals (including Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering, ASCE; International Journal of Geomechanics, ASCE; Journal of Engineering Mechanics, ASCE; Geotechnique; Geotechnique Letters; International Journal of Solids and Structures; Engineering Geology; Granular Matter; Computers and Geotechnics; et al.), and applied twenty Chinese patents. He got many awards, such as 2018 and 2019 Most Cited Chinese Researchers from Elsevier, John Carter Award in IACMAG, Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of Chinese Society for Rock and Mechanics and Engineering, et al. He was the Guest Editor of International Journal of Geomechanics, ASCE, Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, and Geoscience Frontiers (IF=4.3), and he is also Editor Board Member of International Journal of Geomechanics, ASCE; Canadian Geotechnical Journal; Soils and Foundations; et al.
