Experts from Chongqing Geographic Information and Remote Sensing Application Center Were Invited to Give Lectures for 18th Grade Students in Our College

On the morning of 8th November 2019, Mr. Pu Dexiang, Director of the Quality Inspection Center of Chongqing Geographic Information and Remote Sensing Application Center, and Liu Xingwei, the Service manager of Chongqing CORS, were invited to give an academic report entitled "Building and Application of GNSS Satellite Navigation and Positioning Reference Service System" for the 2018 surveying and mapping students in the D1412 classroom of Huxi Campus。

First of all, Director Pu introduced the role of GNSS satellite navigation and positioning and the importance of establishing the Beidou system through news events. Then, he explained the status of location service industry through practical application cases and pointed out the core position of GNSS technology in the location service industry; then, he explained the development of satellite navigation system from the establishment process of Beidou system, the development status of other GNSS systems, positioning principle, positioning error source, development history of positioning technology and research hotspot of location technology. Secondly, the focus is on the composition of the satellite navigation and positioning reference service system (CORS) system, the network RTK positioning principle and the construction and promotion of the CORS system in Chongqing; finally, senior engineer Liu introduced the difference and connection between GNSS satellite-based enhancement and GNSS ground-based enhancement and he demonstrated the operation of the CORS system.

Director Pu Dexiang has been engaged in geodetic survey, engineering survey, 3S technology and application research for a long time, and participated in major projects such as Chongqing satellite navigation positioning reference service system, surveying and mapping geographic information quality management system, digital elevation benchmark model, quality inspection and inspection of surveying and mapping results. The construction has made outstanding contributions to the application and development of satellite navigation and positioning technology in Chongqing, and has effectively promoted the development of modern city mapping and mapping service information. After graduating from school, Liu Xingwei has been contributing to the research and promotion of satellite navigation and positioning technology in Chongqing, and has continuously improved himself in the process.

The academic report was reported to students through news cases and daily application cases. The report was profound and vivid. The students had preliminary understanding of GNSS technology, GNSS technology and CORS technology. This lecture broadened the students' horizons, expanded the students' thought, increased the students' interest in learning and had benefited everyone.
