Research Center of Engineering Vibration and Disaster Prevention of Chongqing University is made up of well-known professors and scholars as well as young researchers in the world, including one member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, one professor, two associate professors, one lecturer, three postdoctoral researchers, one doctoral candidate, thirty three graduate students, and one foreign student.
The director is Prof. Yeong-Bin Yang, which is currently Honorary Dean of College of Civil Engineering, Chongqing University (CQU), China, and Vice President of the following two organizations: Asian-Pacific Association for Computational Mechanics (APACM) and East Asia-Pacific Conference on Structural Engineering and Construction (EASEC). He is a member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, foreign member of Austrian Academy of Sciences, and fellow of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and International Association of Computational Mechanics (IACM).
The research center is mainly engaged in structural nonlinear analysis, vehicle bridge interaction analysis, and wave propagation analysis for train-induced vibrations, etc.
