Prof. Dr. Xiao (Sean) Li, born in 1991, is a native of Guangdong, China. His research primarily focuses on the wind disaster mitigation, with an emphasis on the wind-resistant structural design against extreme wind events such as typhoons and thunderstorms. He has by far published over twenty papers in top SCI-indexed journals in the fields of structural engineering and wind engineering, including Journal of Structural Engineering ASCE and Journal of Wind Engineering and Industrial Aerodynamics. He has participated as a key member in several major research projects in China and Europe, and is also active in professional service.
