The vice president of Mongolian University of Science and Technology visits Chongqing University

On the morning of October 14, 2025, the vice president Badmaanyambuu Ranjil and a delegation from the Mongolian University of Science and Technology visited Chongqing University. Vice president Jian Li of Chongqing University attended the meeting. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and the establishment of a “Belt and Road” joint laboratory. They reached multiple agreements in areas such as academic cooperation, talent cultivation, and the development of research platforms, taking a significant step towards advancing the in-depth collaboration between the Mongolian University of Science and Technology and Chongqing University.

During the meeting, Jian Li warmly welcomed vice president Badmaanyambuu Ranjil and the visiting delegation. He provided an overview of Chongqing University’s achievements in the development of its “Double First Class” initiative, discipline development, and international cooperation. He expressed the hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to further expand practical cooperation between the two institutions in the field of engineering and technology. Badmaanyambuu Ranjil introduced the distinctive features and key focus areas of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, elaborated on the purpose of the visit, and expressed the vision for deepening collaboration in areas such as wind energy utilization and extreme climate engineering.

After the meeting, the visiting delegation toured the Chongqing University History Museum, as well as key campus landmarks such as the A-Section School of Engineering Building and the Wenzizhai. This provided them with further insights into the university’s historical development and cultural heritage.

The members of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology delegation accompanying the visit included Gankhuleg Majig, head of the New Energy Department; Khayankhyarvaa Sarangerel, professor at the School of Electrical Engineering; Munkhtuya Erdenebat, associate professor at the School of Electrical Engineering; and Lkhagvasuren Sukh Erdene, a PhD student. Attending the meeting from Chongqing University were Hui Xie, deputy director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and deputy director of the Institute of Scientific and Technological Development; Yuhang Wang, associate dean of the School of Civil Engineering; professor Xiaoming Zhang; and assistant researcher Pouria Ayough.
