Recently, the academic publishing giant Elsevier officially released the list of Chinese Most Cited Researchers in 2021. It is the eighth time for releasing the list of Chinese Most Cited Researchers since the list was first released in 2015, receiving highly concern from many media and scholars at home and abroad. This year, Chinese Most Cited Researchers were from 523 universities and research institutions. Among them, Academician Yang Yongbin, Prof. Liu Hanlong, Prof. Zhou Xiaoping, Prof. Luo Shaoxiang, Prof. Zhang Wengang, and Prof. Xiao Yang of the School of Civil Engineering were selected for the list.

The results are obtained by systematically analyzing the influence of Chinese researchers in the world based on objective citation data. Therefore, to be included in the list of Chinese Most Cited Researchers means that the scholar has world-class influence in the field of his research, and his scientific research had made a great contribution to the development of the research. This time, 6 professors from SCE, CQU is a full affirmation of not only their own scientific research ability and academic worldwide influence, but also the scientific research level and academic influence of School of Civil Engineering, Chongqing University.
