In the morning of May 13, the school-enterprise exchange meeting between the School of Civil Engineering (SCE) of Chongqing University and China Construction Eight Engineering Division Corp., Ltd. was successfully held in the No.1 Conference Room of Days Hotel Keyuan. The meeting was chaired by Hua Jianmin, the secretary of the party committee of SCE. Qi Ligang, Chief Engineer, Ye Xianlou, General Manager of Science and Technology Quality Department, Zhan Jinsheng, Chief Engineer of Southwest Company, and Chen Jiang, Chief Engineer of Development and Construction Company of China Construction Eight Engineering Division Corp., Ltd attended the meeting. The attendees of SCE are as follows: Liu meng and Xie Qiang, the Associate Chair, Wang Yuhang, director of the Institute of Structural Engineering, and Dong Ruikun, director of the Institute of Road and Bridge Engineering, and Associate Professor Wu Shuguang, from Institute of Geotechnical Engineering.

On behalf of SCE, Hua Jianmin first welcomed the arrival of Qi Ligang and his colleagues, and introduced the development, discipline construction, talent team and scientific and technological achievements of SCE. Focusing on the progress of the declaration work of the State Key Laboratory of Safety and Intelligence in Mountain Town Construction, Hua made a brief introduction of the basic overview of the laboratory, the research level and representative achievements, and the key points of cooperation between the two parties. In the end, he expressed the hope that the two sides shall take the platform construction as an opportunity to further deepen the school-enterprise cooperation, meet the national development strategy and social needs, and incubate more scientific research achievements.

Qi Ligang introduced the development and technological innovation of China Construction Eight Engineering Division Co., Ltd in recent years. He pointed out that the two parties have reached good cooperation in many aspects. At the same time, he hoped that the two parties would take this meeting as an opportunity, rely on key projects and focusing on emerging fields, to strengthen complementary advantages, further promote the in-depth integration of production, education and research, accelerate the transformation and application of scientific research results to the front line of engineering and create benefits, so as to achieve win-win development.

Ye Xianlou introduced the overall operation and key business areas of China Construction Eight Engineering Division Corp., Ltd. and made a report on the construction of "big technology" system, talent cultivation, major scientific and technological research and development projects and major achievements in recent years.

Afterwards, the participants from two parties conducted in-depth exchanges on issues such as industry development prospects, new talent training orientation, and the scope of school-enterprise cooperation. Both parties expressed their desire to continue to work together in the future to carry out more in-depth cooperation in scientific research, innovation and transformation, platform construction, market expansion, and talent training.
