From 26 June 2017 to 7 July 2017, the first International Summer Camp was held by School of Civil Engineering, Chongqing University. 46 teachers and students from six countries and regions, such as Australia, Italy, America, Poland, Russia, and Taiwan, attended this International Summer Camp. 

        Foreign guests were pleased with the schedule of half academic lectures and half sightseeing in Chongqing, which included taking intercity high-speed rail to visit panda in Sichuan, taking light rail which goes through buildings and is sloped in some turnings, taking ships to see the night scenery of Chongqing, visiting construction site, tasting local foods such as hotpot, the examples goes on and on.

        Some universities released news report online or on local newspaper after their students got back.
