A group of eight individuals, including the director of the Experimental Center Liu Gang and the supervisor of the Structural Laboratory Wang Xuanding, visited South China University of Technology and Guangzhou University on January 12, 2024, under the direction of Associate Chair Zhang Wengang from the Chongqing University. The purpose of the visit was to carry out a special investigation on the strengthening of high-quality construction, management, and operation of laboratories in our institution.

The State Key Laboratory of Subtropical Building Science at South China University of Technology was investigated on the morning of the 12th. The investigation included laboratories for fire resistance, wind resistance, vibration of roads and bridges, etc.; additionally, they held in-depth discussions regarding the declaration, construction, management, and publicity of key laboratories with Yao Xiaohu, the Chair of the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation, and Yu Jiangmiao, the Associate Chair.

They had in-depth conversations about laboratory design and science popularization with Professor Ma Yuhong, the director of the Earthquake Engineering Research & Test Center of Guangzhou University, during their afternoon visit to the center's shaking table and Seismic Technology Museum on the 12th.

The Wugui Mountain Laboratory Group at our institution was able to improve the quality of its construction thanks in part to this inquiry.
